Research from male cancer charity Orchid reveals UK men know more about breast and other women's cancers than those which affect only men

1 in 3 men say they're most knowledgeable about breast cancer compared to 1 in 10 men who are familiar with the signs and symptoms of testicular cancer

1 in 10 women say they don't check their breasts compared to 1 in 4 men who don't check their testes

1 in 3 men are not aware they can check themselves for lumps

Only 1 in 5 men admit to being clued up on prostate cancer

1 in 6 men think prostate cancer can affect women

1 in 4 Brits have a family member or close friend with testicular or prostate cancer

Moonlight Colourthon 2010

Take part in the 4th Moonlight colourthon and brighten someone's life! The colourthon is a 13.1 mile walk dressed as brightly as you possibly can! This year's event sets off from Chalkwell Park at 8pm on Saturday 3rd July, 2010. It takes in the waterfront along Southend Seafront and Westcliff's picturesque cliff tops with their brisk sea breezes, drops down overlooking the famous pleasure pier and then travels through the exclusive Chalkwell Hall Estate, past Old Leigh Village with its quaint cottages and fisherman's sheds returning back through Leigh itself, finishing back at Chalkwell Park.

Cycling the Tropic of Cancer

Starting on the 9 October Jon and Dom Wright will be taking on an ultimate test of endurance by cycling the Tropic of Cancer.

They aim to cycle the 11,000 miles in 9 months in aid of cancer awareness and the importance of early detection.
