Research from male cancer charity Orchid reveals UK men know more about breast and other women's cancers than those which affect only men

1 in 3 men say they're most knowledgeable about breast cancer compared to 1 in 10 men who are familiar with the signs and symptoms of testicular cancer

1 in 10 women say they don't check their breasts compared to 1 in 4 men who don't check their testes

1 in 3 men are not aware they can check themselves for lumps

Only 1 in 5 men admit to being clued up on prostate cancer

1 in 6 men think prostate cancer can affect women

1 in 4 Brits have a family member or close friend with testicular or prostate cancer

The marathon was really great. Tough, but enjoyable at the same time. The last 7k hurt but crossing the line was a wicked buzz.

The race starts and finishes near Brandenburg Gate, and takes in many of this historic city's other iconic landmarks – bringing a whole new meaning to "hitting the wall"! The flat course makes it ideal for first-time marathon runners or the more experienced runner looking for a personal best.

Guaranteed Places: We have Guaranteed Places for the Real Berlin Marathon 2010. We ask you to pledge to raise a minimum of £1,000 for the marathon and pay an entry fee of £30 to secure your place. Places are however extremely limited so please download the entry form and register today.

When it comes to supporting our runners, for Orchid it’s our top priority. We fully understand just what it takes to train for and complete a marathon whilst fundraising at the same time. That's why we'll be there for you from the start with dedicated support during your marathon journey!

If you have secured a place through the race organisers' ballot, we'd love you to join Team Orchid. You will have access to all the same benefits as our guaranteed entry runners but you will not have a sponsorship target. We only have a limited amount of guaranteed places available, so we really appreciate support from people with their own places.
